I just started bidding on sock yarn on eBay. I have a feeling this is the start of my downward spiral.

I find that when I have a ridiculous knitting project in front of me (usually for someone else), I have no problem cranking it out. But, when it's for me, or it's fairly mundane (a regular old scarf, perhaps in the ripple stitch), I become board and start knitting ballband dishcloths. Perhaps this means I should start on my cardigan.
